NEW Designer Paper & Ribbon Shares

The new Stampin' Up! catalogue comes out on July 1st and there are many fabulous new designer papers, colours and ribbons. Seeing as there are so many new items and many of our wish lists are longer than we could possibly afford at one time - I thought I would offer some shares featuring the new designer papers and ribbons.

What is a share? For those of you who are unaware of what a "share" is - it is when you purchase a smaller portion of each of the new items for a fraction of the cost - allowing you to sample the new products. I am going to be offering 2 different shares: 1 for designer papers and 1 for designer ribbons.

DESIGNER PAPER SHARE: There are 18 designer paper sets in the new catalogue on pages 160-163 (excluding the new patterns designer paper packs); 12 are brand new to this catalogue and 6 are returning from the previous catalogue. If you are part of this share, it includes 105 - 6" x 6" designer papers (1 of each pattern) and a various assortment of die cuts from the The Write Stuff specialty designer paper.
You get all of this for $35 + $5 shipping

RIBBON SHARE: (This share includes 3 yards (9 feet / 36 inches) each of the new 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon in all of the new in colours (dusty durango, soft suede, melon mambo, bermuda bay, crushed curry and rich razzleberry - in order from L-R as in picture) .
You get all of this for $20 + $2 shipping

How to join the share(s): If you are interested in one or both of these shares, email me with your name, mailing address, e-mail address and which share(s) you are interested in. I will then send you a paypal invoice for the corresponding amount via email. You must reside in Canada to participate in these shares. You may purchase more than 1 of each share (ie. pay $40 for 6 yards of each of the ribbons).

I will require 8 people (or 8 shares if you are purchasing more than one share) for the designer paper share and I will require 5 shares for the ribbon share. If there is not this amount, I will not be able to do the shares. There will be a link available July 1 to view the new designer papers and ribbons in the catalogue if you want to check them out first.

If there is enough interest in these shares, I will order the papers and ribbons as soon as all payments are received (this could be as early as July 1). I will also offer different shipping rates if various shares are purchased.

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions!

Happy Father's Day with 2 Cards!

Here are the Father's Day cards that I had to reschedule!

I actually made two Father's Day cards this year - one for Grant to give my Dad and one for myself to give. I had two sentiments that were perfect and I couldn't decide which to use so I decided to make two so I could use them both! This is the card I made for Grant to give to my Dad. It was made using SC232, which I obviously couldn't share earlier. For reasons I won't get into, Grant has always felt as though my Dad is his Dad (although now he is officially since we're married) and his "father figure" for when we have children so this Papertrey Ink sentiment says that all so eloquently. This card is the card I made for myself to give to him (inspired by SC231). This sentiment has always been the case with my Dad. I constantly tried (and still do) to get him to buy me stuff and after paying for my wedding this sentiment could not be more true!

My Dad has done so many things I admire and I only hope he knows how much we appreciate everything he has done for us. He (and my Mom) even suggested Grant move in with us when he needed to get out of his living situation - so if it weren't for them, things may not even be the way they are between Grant and I now. I hope he rubbed off enough on Grant (as I'm sure Grant does too) to enable Grant to be the same kind of father he is.

Last Masculine Card

This is the last of 6 masculine cards I have created for my Aunt to use for male teachers. I went again for the clean lines and geometric patterns when creating this masculine 4.25" x 4.25" card. This stamp set is actually the very first SU stamp set I used and got me addicted to using SU stamps enough to become a demonstrator myself. I coloured the stamp with my bashful blue marker and then since there were not "in colour" markers in this years catalogue I dipped my blender pen into the reinker and then coloured the "thanks" part of the stamp. That brings me to some exciting news for the upcoming catalogue - markers in the new "in colours" are now going to be available!

Stamps: SU Lexicon of Love (retired)
Ink: SU bashful blue, ridinghood red
Paper: SU ww, bashful blue, washington apple dp (reitred)

SC233 Two Masculine Takes

Happy Father's Day! I had to reschedule my posts so you'll see my Father's Day cards later in the week because my Dad hadn't got them in the mail yet.

Here are a couple of more cards for my aunt that are both takes on the SCS sketch challenge SC233. This card features two new items from the upcoming catalogue that goes live July 1! The base paper of this card is one of the new "in colours" soft suede (which is my favourite) and the tiny sentiment features the new stamp set "teeny tiny wishes." The image stamp is heat embossed with white embossing powder to raise it up for more detail, then the whole panel is raised on SU dimensionals. I went for a similar look with this card but switched the colours and changed the direction of the card. I "thumped" the image (which means I coloured the whole image in the green galore and then hit it with the gable green marker a few times before stamping) to give it more dimension. It is hard to see well in the photo since the colours are so similar! This card too has the "teeny tiny wishes" sentiment heat embossed in white embossing powder. The main panel is raised up on dimensionals.

Geometric Thank You

This card is probably the least masculine of the bunch but I still think it works - mostly due to the colours and geometric designs and patterns. Not much to say about this card - it's pretty straight forward. Don't hesitate to email if you want to know something that isn't clear!

Supplies

Stamps: SU Pocket Silhouettes, PTI Father Knows Best
Ink: SU kiwi kiss, night of navy
Paper: SU night of navy, ww, kiwi kiss, maine blueberry dp (retired)

Goodbye Kiwi Kiss

Here's another masculine card I made. I received my order of sneak preview items that I ordered from the new catalogue and realized I hadn't played much with kiwi kiss, black and white together, and since kiwi kiss will be gone right away I thought it was time to use this colour combo (which is definitely one of my favourites). Not much to say about this card, I just tried to keep the lines clean, use colours with a lot of contrast as well as little patterned paper to make this card masculine. I think it's one of my favourites!

Stamps: SU Define Your Life
Ink: SU basic black
Paper: SU ww, basic black, kiwi kiss, urban oasis dp
