Wedding Reception Details

Some of you may remember that I had created my own table numbers for the wedding reception we had in Calgary following the wedding in the Dominican to celebrate with our family and friends. I thought you might be interested in seeing how they looked all set up as well as some other items I created to go along with our colour scheme.

Here's a picture of how the tables looked all set up. We were lucky and the catering company even had table cloths and napkins in certainly celery and chocolate chip. As a bonus the chairs at the hall were even brand new and chocolate chip in colour! How lucky! You can see our favours are personalized decks of cards (again with the colours also the same) - we thought it was a good favour because it gave some of the kids something to do during the reception as well as we play a lot of cards so it was something special to our relationship as well!

For our seating plan we took a black picture frame and spray painted it a suede texture of chocolate chip and filled the horizontal slots with pictures from the wedding and used the vertical slots as seating for tables. It's easier to see than explain (Sorry the picture isn't great but the frame is such an akward size). For the tables we printed all of the names out in chocolate chip on whisper white paper and matted it with certainly celery paper. Once that was done, we felt like there wasn't enough green so we took certainly celery 5/8" grosgrain and adhered it along the edges of the frame. It looked great and we had lots of comments on it! For a total of about $50 we created our own personalized seating plan in our wedding colorus!
